Fiber is important as well &#8211; you want your digestive system to remain healthy and active.</p>
<p>Break the big meal portion habit. Majority of us consume more than we should simply because the food&#8217;s on our plate. Even when we&#8217;re truly &#8220;starving&#8221;, portion control is important so as not to be overcome with that stuffed feeling when we&#8217;re through. It&#8217;s a vicious circle &#8211; you eat more and your tummy become larger, so you need more food to feel full and therefore eat more . . . and round you go. Avoid reducing your meal portion sizes drastically, just reduce them gradually so that your belly gets used to it and it&#8217;ll then shrink.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ve heard it all your life, and it&#8217;s true! Consuming more veggies and fruit is a great thing to do. The minerals and vitamins they supply are very important to your body&#8217;s proper performance. Aim for five pieces of fruit or vegetable daily. You can choose &#8216;em &#8211; oranges, squash, apples, tomatoes . . . whatever your want. It&#8217;s quick and uncomplicated!</p>
<p>As your stomach doesn&#8217;t even begin letting the brain know it&#8217;s getting full for at least twenty minutes, it&#8217;s very essential to slow down the rate at which you shovel food in. This is a crucial reason for people binging; they eat a big meal and after 10 minutes they don&#8217;t feel full so they take in some more food. Then after another 10 minutes they feel utterly full. The key is to, whenever feasible, give yourself time to appreciate and savor your food.</p>
<p>Regardless of how great it tastes, sugar is not good you &#8211; real bad. You&#8217;re kind of stuck with ingesting at least some sugar, because it&#8217;s everywhere, especially in processed foods. When it comes to desert or a snack, try to go for some fresh fruit or anything you like with less sugar. Drink diet sodas rather than full sugar sodas.</p>
<p>These few initial steps will get the ball rolling &#8211; you&#8217;ll be on the path to succeeding on your weight loss goals and better all around health.
